Comfy Chic is the New Normal but Shoes are Now Optional

Fashion, Styling

Since working from home seems to be the new normal for most individuals these past couple of weeks, I put together some comfy work from home outfits that are sure to make you feel chic. The first week you were probably extremely excited to be at home working in your pj’s this week, but you might need some help navigating this new normal of comfy chic we all find ourselves in. If you are like me then at times you find yourself wondering why should I even get dressed. I have found that: getting dressed, putting minimal makeup on, or even just brushing my hair puts me in a boss bitch mode. whenever I’m in that mode I typically get a lot of shiii done. Try these tips and tricks and I promise it could help with your mental health, make you feel more confident, and you will get shi done.

It doesn’t take much effort but a pretty top, highlight, chapstick, and a messy bun are at the top of my list when working from home. In the event that you have to facetime with a client you are more than prepared, at least from the waist up. You can incorporate a comfy harem pant or legging to complete your look. I can’t believe im saying this but here is when shoes are definitely optional unless you have to step outside which at that point it is totally up to you.

What to wear today is probably last on your mind with all the problems in the world but this is my hustle and I’ll be here to help you look as chic as possible through it all. I know I am super vain but we all have that one friend 🙂

How to Style a Plaid Blazer

Fashion, Styling

Have you noticed more people wearing plaid lately? I can’t be the only one that wholeheartedly believes every single soul needs a plaid blazer or plaid jacket in their closets. I mean it is the perfect way to add some depth into your wardrobe. Just think how chic the outfit you have on right now would be if it had a plaid blazer over it? Even if your sitting in your jammies 😝

Plaid is not for you? You don’t want to look like Sherlock Holmes? Just throw a little street into it by adding a graphic crew neck sweater under with a distressed jean and some killer shoes. You now have a chic look to wear basically anywhere your feet can take you! I have added links to the look book #styledxsb below for you

3 Chic Valentines Day 2020 Look Books #StyledxSB

Fashion, Styling

This year Valentine’s day falls on a Friday. Which means it should be LIT! Whether you’re celebrating by having a date night with your boo, galentines with your best friend or solo date at home you still need a go to outfit for your IG (or is that just something I do?).

I put together three #styledxSB look books for vday and I incorporated more than one style of shoes for each look because I know how important it is to have options. The “Vday a La One” look includes a heel option because even though it is a stay at home date, one must always be ready to run out the house looking our flyest.

I’ll probably be rocking a similar look to “VDay A La One” since the hubby will be working till midnight but I will see y’all on the gram. These looks can be recreated with anything in your current closet but I do have shopping links available for these look books if interested.

I’d love to know which is your favorite of the three? drop in the comments or on IG

3 Ways to Wear a Gucci Dionysus Shoulderbag

Fashion, Styling

This week I collaborated with Get Luxed (@gluxed) a consignment company out of Seattle, Wa. I was asked to create 3 look books for their Small Gucci Dionysus GG shoulder bag that I absolutely adore because the monogram and silver link chain pairs perfectly with neutral tones and with pops of color. I styled the bag for work, night out or running errands.

9-5 takes a pair denim jeans, a bodysuit with a belted blazer, a pop of color at your feet with plenty of bling and a pair trendy glasses to a whole another department.

Date night/ Girls night puts you in a mini dress, a floral blazer, tinted clear heel, pearl jewelry, and shades.

Date night/ Girls night

Errands are better in leggings, a bodysuit, hoodie with a leather moto jacket, gold jewelry, shades and sneakers.

Which of the 3 looks can you see yourself wearing? Recreating any of these looks? tag me for a feature on social media.

If you would like purchasing details for any of the wardrobe or accessories feel free to contact me. Gucci handbag can be purchased by contacting Get Luxed
