Let’s go back to 2009 when the hubby mentions this fabulous resale shop in The Woodlands, TX where we lived at the time. Being that I am a huge fan of thrifting, of course, I had to check it out. While there I find the most fantastic pair of snake print Guess stilettos in perfect never been worn condition. OMG, they were in my size, and they were only $13. I was beyond ecstatic at this point, only to take them home and leave them on the floor in my closet…
Well, we had just brought home our Old English bully Belvedere who hadn’t yet received any training. Belvedere decided to take my “new” Guess stiletto and use the heel as a chew toy. Ugh, I fucken cried. Legit tears were rolling down my face when I discovered him in the act.
Fast forward 10 years, I still have the right shoe it sat on my desk year after year without purpose. Believe me when I tell you I have searched high and low for another pair in my size on Poshmark, eBay and even craigslist – don’t laugh! I have come to terms that this was a lost sole.
Then one late night i’m casually scrolling through Instagram and I come across this image that gave me inspiration. The lonely shoe I had held onto for all these years finally had purpose. Until I misplaced the shoe…
Fast forward to 2022, I finally found the missing shoe and I am able to finish this lovely project 🤦🏾♀️
