Woah, I just had a crazy day dream. One where I’m about to be 40 years young and I can’t wear heels any more. Oh, wait that’s IRL cause in 2022 I turn Forty, shorty 😂👌🏾🤦🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️🙄😐😜

And I have a confession to make. I can’t wear heels as long as I used to. It breaks my SOLE to say it but if it involves any walking or standing in heels I’m only good for 45 minutes max before I have to sit down. I am officially calling it – all of my heels are sitting heels.

Just the other day, I had the hardest time trying to find shoes for myself. Thank goodness I had my daughter with me! Mia was there to help me talk through it. I remember my 20’s when shoe shopping was so much fun but 20 years later thanks to years of wearing the wrong size shoe and wearing them for 12 hrs straight daily. My feet prefer that I only shop for heels that have no actual heel 😩🤣. So, I found 2 suitable pairs of flats that I made work.

Don’t get me wrong I still buy high heels so that the SB fashion closet collection continues to grow but personally I’m wearing a pair of flats right now and can’t seem to concentrate in them very well 😑. I know flats can be cute and comfy but they aren’t a high heel.

If you have a similar dilemma, my solution is start the morning in heels and then shoe swap when the 45 minute time limit is up. 🤣Should be just enough time for a shoefie and an errand. Sounds legit to me 😁👠

So, I’ll end this blog by saying take care of your feet. Give them lots of rest between high heel days, lots of massages and don’t forget to elevate them at night. Like I always tell my daughters don’t aspire to be like me, always do better.
